Sunny Cape May - again!

I'm excited today, because two days of stormy weather have been replaced by brilliant sunshine! Our ninety nine tulips are on the verge of bursting open, the camellia tree is covered with rose-like blooms, and our little shore town of Cape May is preparing for the season in earnest.

We're looking forward to Cape may's Spring Festival, beginning on April 24 through May 3. There will be numerous special events, such as home and history tours, secret garden tours, a craft show, and an antiques show. The Vintage Dance Weekend is on the 4/25 and 26. There will be a dance instructor who will conduct three dance workshops. Andy and I enjoy dancing, so we're hoping to participate this year!

we're making improvements

The winter months haven't been unproductive at Bayberry Inn. Though we're open year round, it's predictably quite lately. That gives Andy & I time to work on some of our projects. Andy's been remodeling the third floor bathroom, along with painting the suite's sittingroom. Ryan has been busy with school, youth group, and learning a part in a play through Cape May Stage. I'm also busily at work, though my accomplishments are more abstract.
Tomorrow is my birthday! Andy and Ryan (my two handsome dates) are taking me to the Washington Inn on Valentine's Day. We'll probably have Andy's famous Lobster Newburg (heh, heh!) tomorrow night, and plenty of dark chocolate in any form ...to celebrate!
